Privacy Policy
Transparency around how we handle personal information, messages, and AI-powered tools.
1. Overview
SaltySesh LLC (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates SaltySesh® photography services and the SeshBot® AI-powered SMS platform. SeshBot® is a product and registered trademark of SaltySesh LLC. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information across our photography services, digital products, websites (including saltysesh.co, seshbot.co, and app.seshbot.co), and SeshBot® AI tools.
2. Information We Collect
We collect different types of information depending on how you interact with us:
Photography clients:
- Name, email address, and phone number when you book, contact us, or opt into messaging
- Session details, preferences, location information, and information you voluntarily provide
- Photographs and images captured during your session
- Messages sent to or from SeshBot® (including SMS conversations)
SeshBot® subscribers (photographers using our platform):
- Name, email address, business name, and password (stored in hashed form)
- Subscription plan selection and billing history
- Onboarding preferences (business type, session types, AI tone and personality settings, operating hours, booking links)
- Client records you add to the platform (names, phone numbers, session details, notes, tags)
- SMS message content sent and received through your SeshBot® number
- Usage data (message counts, client counts, feature usage)
All visitors:
- Aggregated, non-identifying analytics related to site performance and usage
3. How We Use Information
- Confirm bookings and communicate session-related details
- Edit, deliver, and store photographs from your session
- Use session photographs in our portfolio, website, social media, and marketing materials (see Section 9 of our Terms of Service for full usage rights)
- Send optional reminders, prep tips, FAQs, and workflow messages via SeshBot®
- Create and manage SeshBot® subscriber accounts
- Process subscription payments and manage billing
- Operate, maintain, and improve our services and tools
- Monitor system health, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, and ensure reliability
- Send transactional emails (welcome emails, password resets, billing notifications, trial reminders)
4. SeshBot® & AI Processing
SeshBot® uses generative AI and messaging infrastructure to assist with communication and workflow automation. Messages may be processed by AI systems solely to generate responses and maintain service reliability.
We do not sell, rent, or commercially exploit message content. Message data is not used to train public AI models and is processed only for operational purposes.
AI-generated responses may be imperfect or inaccurate. Human review and judgment should always be used for important decisions.
5. SMS Consent & Opt-Out
By providing a phone number (either directly or through a SeshBot® subscriber who adds you as a client), you may receive transactional and service-related SMS messages, including confirmations, reminders, and automated SeshBot® interactions. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of any purchase.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on session activity and subscriber configuration.
You may reply STOP to any SeshBot® message at any time to opt out of automated SMS communication. Reply HELP for support, or contact hello@saltysesh.co. Opting out does not affect your ability to book or work with us.
Mobile information collected as part of SMS opt-in (including phone numbers and consent records) will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
6. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers to operate our services, including:
- Stripe – payment processing and subscription billing (processes payment method details, billing address, and transaction data)
- Twilio – SMS delivery and messaging infrastructure
- OpenAI – AI response generation for SeshBot®
- Render – secure application hosting
- PostgreSQL database providers – secure data storage and message logging
- Pixieset / Google Drive – gallery delivery and file sharing for photography clients
- Calendly – scheduling (if you choose to book through a Calendly link)
- Google Analytics – website analytics and performance monitoring
These providers process data under their own privacy policies and industry-standard security practices. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Payment information (credit card numbers, bank details) is collected and processed directly by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy can be found at stripe.com/privacy.
7. Cookies & Session Data
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our websites. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information such as:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Browser type, operating system, and device information
- Referring websites and search terms
- IP addresses (which may be anonymized)
- General geographic location (city/region level)
This data is aggregated and anonymized to help us improve site performance and user experience. Google may use this data in accordance with their own privacy policy, which can be found at policies.google.com/privacy.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by:
- Using browser settings to block or delete cookies
- Installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Using browser privacy extensions that block analytics scripts
The SeshBot® application (app.seshbot.co) uses session cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your authenticated state. These are essential cookies required for the platform to function and cannot be disabled while using the application.
8. Data Retention & Security
Photography files:
Gallery links and downloadable photos are made available for a minimum of 90 days after delivery. After this period, files may be archived or deleted at our discretion. We strongly recommend that clients download all images within 90 days of delivery. We are not responsible for files that are not downloaded within this window. In some cases we may retain photos longer, but this is not guaranteed.
SeshBot® data:
Message logs, client records, and system data are retained for as long as your SeshBot® account is active or as reasonably necessary for operational, support, and audit purposes. If you cancel your subscription, we will retain your data for up to 90 days to allow for reactivation, after which it may be permanently deleted.
Security:
We take reasonable steps to protect information using HTTPS, encrypted password storage (bcrypt hashing), access controls, and secure integrations. While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
9. Your Rights & Data Requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing hello@saltysesh.co. We will respond to data requests within 30 days.
SeshBot® subscribers can export their client data and conversation history from the platform at any time (depending on plan features).
Photography clients may request deletion of their photos from our systems at any time. Please note that once gallery links expire or files are deleted, we may not be able to recover them.
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. 10. Children's Privacy
SaltySesh® services and SeshBot® are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can remove it.
11. Policy Updates
We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page. If we make material changes that affect how we handle your data, we will notify active SeshBot® subscribers by email. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
